This week we detail the exclusive incentives for preordering 2022 1st Edition boxes, go over our past & upcoming AMAs, and address a recent mix-up with our Katowice: Groups collection. With this, we additionally go into our upcoming Airdrop cards and share some much-needed bug fixes & site updates. Plenty to discuss — let’s jump in!
2022 1st Edition & Katowice | Exclusive Kolex Preorder Incentives
In case you missed it: Not only is there a chance at signed player cards in 2022 1st Edition boxes, but for every pre order purchase you make directly from shop.kolex.gg, you will be automatically entered into a raffle for one of several exciting collectible items! Each Large Box purchased will be eligible for 2 entries and each Small Box will be eligible for 1 entry into raffles for items including signed Epics VaultX Binders, exclusive P-mint signed “Player Cards,” jerseys, and yet-to-be-announced digital content. Discord AMAs | Revisited & Upcoming
Several weeks ago, we hosted an impromptu AMA on our Discord channel, in which we discussed our thoughts around a Discord Migration with Kolectiv, the 2022 Game Plan, Physical/Digital Season Rewards, and more. You can now find a recording of this AMA here. Please note that some of the topics originally discussed are still undergoing review & may have been postponed.
We’re looking to start hosting more frequent community AMAs and are currently planning an AMA to address ongoing questions & concerns specifically related to our physical products. We hear your feedback and are actively working to make some course corrections, along with discuss one-off cases with individuals one-on-one. More information about the date & time for this AMA will be released on our Twitter & Discord in the near future!
IEM Katowice: Groups | Faulty Odds & Compensation
Last week, we quickly sold out the first collection from the 2022 digital season: IEM Katowice: Groups. These packs included Player & Team cards, Event Matte, Holo, & Foil Stickers, and Team Matte Stickers from the IEM Katowice event. Unfortunately, the Team Matte Stickers unintentionally had a lower-than-advertised pull rate. This should be a one-off issue and was caused by combining the odds of each of the 16 stickers into one, making the odds at each individual sticker 16x rarer.
We’ll be compensating those who purchased Groups packs from the primary market with separate, new packs to be distributed next week, which will contain the elusive Team Matte Stickers and be distributed at a rate to ensure users receive the number of stickers they could have expected from their Groups packs: For every 1 Groups packs purchased, users will automatically receive 0.75 Katowice Stickers packs. The number of packs received will be rounded to the nearest whole number. For example, if you purchased 1 Groups pack, you’ll receive 1 Stickers pack, rounded up from 0.75. If you purchased 3 Groups packs, you’d receive 2 Stickers packs, rounded down from 2.25.
In addition to the missing stickers, we’ll also be adding holographic stickers for teams that qualified from the play-ins as an additional compensation in these new packs, along with an exclusive Tier 3 Airdrop: Play-In King card! Keep an eye on Discord & the in-app Content Calendar for more details around the odds for these Sticker packs.
We sincerely apologize for this mix-up and hope this form of additional compensation feels like a fair resolution. More details on the upcoming Airdrop cards below!
Season 2022 Airdrops
As a part of the new season, we will be randomly dropping Tier 3 Legendary cards to users. The timing, design, and distribution model will vary and be kept as secret as possible, even within our own team.
These are not hints, but to give an overall idea of how these could drop, we might airdrop cards for:
- Top 100 leaderboard placement, with the specific leaderboard chosen randomly: Could be from Founders Gold, 2019 Courage, the 2020 Physical collections, etc.
- Randomly select 150 people from our Discord community
- The last 50 people to redeem the 7-day login achievement
- The past 150 people to spin the wheel
- The past 100 people to make a trade
- Many more options here — nothing’s off-limits here!
The best chance of hitting these airdrops is to be active within the app, and keep collecting. We ultimately want to reward out some high-end, valuable assets which are accessible to all users. We have decided that for the first Airdrop, we would add these Tier 3 cards into the Katowice Sticker packs as an additional layer of compensation for the mix-up in odds.
The card design will always change on each drop; we’ll use a variety of players and try to pick those often not seen on Legendary cards. Mint counts will never exceed 150 but could also be much lower and more premium, and we will include some signatures on top mints depending on available inventory.

- Fixed Showcase Items being cut off at some resolutions
- Editing your Showcase no longer requires a page refresh
- Cards that are on Ethereum Layer 1 or IMX now show up as “ghost” cards in your library
- Fixed going to someone’s profile redirecting to user-not-found
- Fixed misaligned language settings
- Fixed homepage showing an “undefined” pack
- Removed “Showcase on Profile” Button for Cards on Ethereum Layer 1 or IMX
