With half of 2022 behind us, here’s the Kolectiv monthly recap for June 2022.
Kolectiv Artwork Write-up
As a curated and themed NFT marketplace, we have always prided ourselves on the selection of art and artists featured in each of Kolectiv’s drops. Sometimes with the rush and short timeframe movement of NFT prices, it’s easy for collectors to forget what it has always been about — the art itself.
With this in mind, we held a community artwork write-up contest to find out what our community’s favourite Kolectiv artworks are and how they make them feel. In their opinion, what is that particular artwork trying to tell?

Devolve: Entropy. The inevitability of disorder that all living beings have fought against and defied since the beginning. But as we are still mortal, we cannot escape the fate of time. And just as the artist’s once perfect craft slowly but surely becomes nothing but random strokes of ink, we too, devolve into dust.
Cryptees physical redemption
In the month of June, most of the holders of Cryptee’s genesis NFT have received their physical T-shirts! It was a very exciting moment for us, as Cryptees was the first NFT x Fashion brand that Kolex has incubated. The first edition of Cryptees can no longer be obtained currently — and as a small teaser, we have more planned for the next Cryptees drop!

Hologenetix Whitelist giveaway
Asides from curating and dropping artwork, we have also been selectively picking up partnerships to provide value for our Kolectors. This month, the Hologenetix project from totem.earth was one of those. A total of 10 slots were given out to our Gold Founders, Silver Founders, and Kolectors.

HRO ‘DC Pride’ Allowlist giveaway
With each HRO drop, Kolectiv rewards its community by giving out plentiful Allowlist slots for the drops. Last month was no exception. For the HRO ‘DC Pride’ drop, we gave out an impressive 80 Allowlist slots that were distributed as follows:
- 25 for Gold Founders
- 25 for Silver Founders
- 20 for Kolectiv Trivia winners
- 5 for Kolectors
- 5 for Artwork write-up contest winners
Kolectiv Trivia
In contrast to the usual role or raffle based giveaway for HRO’s Allowlist slots, we decided to hold something different to allow a broader range of people to have a shot at winning. The Kolectiv Trivia is a series of 10 trivia questions split into 4 quiz sessions, testing your knowledge of everything related to Kolectiv. That’s a total of 40 questions with only 10 seconds to answer each question — the faster you get the correct answer, the more points you score.
To everyone’s surprise, quite a few lurkers in the Discord managed to squeeze themselves into the top 5 every session. We believe there are many Kolectors who don’t really participate much in regular conversations, but are actually pretty knowledgeable about the Kolectiv ecosystem!
Nevertheless, despite furious competition with more than 30–40 participants in each session, the one who scored the most points in ALL FOUR QUIZZES was none other than eirikri, one of our top 10 collectors on the Global Leaderboard.
Team Update
Long-time collector Worth shifted out of his community role to serve as the new Partnerships & Product Manager for the Kolectiv platform. Worth will be modelling & curating future drops on Kolectiv, along with managing artist & partner relations. Passionate about both NFTs and Art, he will be dedicating his full time into bringing wonderful artwork to Kolectors on a more regular basis.
Kolectiv Community AMA
It’s been a while since we last did a Kolectiv-only AMA with the team. Along with the fact that the community has been asking questions and getting answers scattered throughout different places — Discord, Twitter, DMs, etc, it only makes sense for us to hold a Kolectiv Community AMA.
This time, the AMA was done through submitted questions and written responses from the Kolectiv team. Through this format, we were able to provide answers in a more precise and comprehensive way. We hope that our responses were able to address all the questions that our community had in their minds.
